Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The name was given to her by her parents for the town where she was raised as a child. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is a self-described Jewish, is descended from Ryder's Jewish father. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino County in California at the age of seven. Ryder was seven. In those days, there was no electricity. Ryder was an avid bookworm and would spend her days reading books because there was no TV. Ryder was enrolled in acting classes when Ryder was 12years old and was enrolled in classes at the American Conservatory Theatre. In 1986, she got her first big-screen role in the film Lucas she was only 15 years old. Ryder was bullied in high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress would make a difference. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. But she pushed on with her goals. Ryder made her breakthrough in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in 1988. Ryder was able to continue her successful characters in numerous films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her role as a character in The Age of Innocence (1993).
